The Papal Swiss Guard Uniform
Our Guardian mascot is clad in a stylized version of the traditional Renaissance-era uniform of the Papal Swiss Guard, still worn today. The iconic Morion helmet worn by the Papal Swiss Guard with its sweeping plume, signals readiness and vigilance, reminding our students that excellence requires both discipline and purpose.
Banner With Crossed Keys
Drawn from Scripture (Matthew 16:19) and our school seal – the Crossed Keys of St. Peter symbolize our mission to open doors for students: doors to faith, hope, discipleship, and to academic, career, and technical excellence. They also reflect leadership rooted in service, calling students to be guardians of their faith, gifts, and future pathways.
The Gear Icon
Widely recognized as a symbol of Career & Technical Education it signifies our identity as a Career & Technical High School. The gear icon symbolizes learning by doing, workforce readiness, as well as representing both the many different Academic Career & Technical pathways we offer, and the connection of academic knowledge combined with technical skills.
Colors
The Guardian’s colors of black, white, and gold are also symbolic and represent:
- Black: strength, sacrifice, and foundation
- White: faith, holiness, and truth
- Gold: authority, excellence, and divine mission
