Career & Technical Education

The curriculum for St. Peter Catholic was developed using several guiding principles. The advisory committee and Board of Trustees carefully considered what students and parents would want and expect from a premier Catholic technical high school.

With that objective in mind, the committee sought to develop a curriculum and programming that encompassed all essential principles that would meet and hopefully exceed student expectations while delivering all the components of a Catholic education.

In addition to the core classes that students will take such as English, Math, Theology, History, and Science – students will choose an “Academic Pathway” that will help them earn industry certifications upon graduation and prepare them to begin their careers immediately following high school.

Making The Case for Career & Technical Education

  • 94% – 94% of students concentrating in Career & Technical Education (CTE) graduated high school with a 9% higher than the overall U.S. graduation rates.
  • $10,000 – Individuals with associate degrees in Career & Technical Education (CTE) fields can earn up to $10,000 more per year than those with associate degrees in other fields.
  • 30 MILLION – There are approximately 30 million “good jobs” – jobs that pay a median income of $55,000 or more and require education below a bachelor’s degree.
  • 89% – 89% of manufacturers face talent shortages, with 60% reporting a high or very high impact on productivity.
