Steven Liparulo brings over three decades of experience as an educator to his role as Inaugural Teacher at St. Peter Catholic High School. Most recently, Dr. Liparulo taught upper-division English at Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory School of Houston, where he was honored with the Kinder Excellence in Teaching Award in 2021. After beginning his teaching career at Norwich High School in upstate New York, Dr. Liparulo moved to Texas to complete a doctorate in Creative Writing and English at the University of Houston. For a dozen years, he served as a writing program administer at the UH Writing Center. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Binghamton University, Dr. Liparulo earned a commission as an Army officer, serving as a troop leader in the 2nd Infantry Division and 10th Special Forces Group. Brought into full communion by catechists at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Houston, Dr. Liparulo's further formation in Jesuit spirituality at Cristo Rey Jesuit leads him to a total commitment to ministry through student-led Catholic education at St. Peter Catholic.
